1. What are your biggest fashion obstacles?
My biggest fashion obstacles would be finding clothing that fits properly, and clothing that doesn’t break the bank.
2. Where are you from and what are biggest fashion trends in your city?
I’m originally from Senatobia,MS but reside in Memphis,TN. I honestly can’t say what is the trend. I have always found what works for me,and did my own thing.
3. Tell us about your biggest fashion nightmare and if it came true do explain. (attach a picture if you can)
My biggest fashion nightmare would have to be when my clothing rips and it’s noticeable. Yes, it came true. I was on a business trip in Atlanta and was shooting a music videos when I ripped my shorts. I had to walk around the rest of the day with a big noticeable hole in my pants.
4. What are some of your biggest style inspirations?
I would have to say destroyed jeans, and a tailored suit.
5.Where do you see yourself in five years and how do you see yourself accomplishing it?
In 5 years I see myself perfecting my craft as an entertainer. Whether it is acting, modeling, or doing something with comedy. As well as starting an organization to help families dealing with ovarian cancer due to me losing my sister to it in May 2017.
6.What do you feel is missing in fashion for the men of size?
Better representation. The norm has always been 6 packs and skinny waists. I, and other before me, are here to let everyone know that being thick has and will always be a force to be reckoned with.
7.If you could swap styles with one celebrity who would it be and why?
I would have to say JayZ. He is so versatile when it comes to fashion. He knows how to rock the street swag, and at the same time dresses up well when the occasion calls for it.
What's Your Reaction?
Hola Mi Tribesmen I guess I’ll start by introducing myself. I’m Kirklan Hawes the Founder and creator of XLTribe.com. This site was birthed from an old idea I had to create a community of like-minded guys that was tired of being miss represented and wanted to be displayed in the truest form. Changing the way Big & Tall Men are perceived is the goal for XLTribe.com.
