XL’s Featured Tribesmen’s Of The Week Dennis De Jesus
1. What are your biggest fashion obstacles?
My biggest fashion obstacle is finding off-the-rack suits that fit well tailored.
2. Where are you from and what are biggest fashion trends in your city?
I am from New York City. I believe the biggest fashion trend in the NYC is not conforming to any one specific trend. Here, it’s more about what you’re happy in no matter what.
3. Tell us about your biggest fashion nightmare and if it came true do explain. (attach a picture if you can)
Being that I’m usually not as concerned as to what people think about what I’m wearing at the time, my biggest fashion nightmare would probably have to be, my clothes ripping in public. And no, thankfully that has never happened to me before.
4. What are some of your biggest style inspirations?
Though my style is constantly evolving and though I’m currently rocking mostly street wear nowadays, my biggest style inspirations usually come from the great men of Italy. They’ve perfected men’s bespoke tailoring to the utmost. In my opinion, I think no one does it better than those gentlemen in the suit world!
5.Where do you see yourself in five years and how do you see yourself accomplishing it?
In five years from now, I see myself doing a couple of things. Getting married, owning multiple companies, traveling, and showcasing my brand worldwide. How I intend in doing that is being consistent, dedicated, and not afraid to take lots of risks.
6.What do you feel is missing in fashion for the men of size?
I feel what is missing the most is more bespoke options for men of size. So men of size can have a lot of better-tailored wardrobes.
What's Your Reaction?
Hola Mi Tribesmen I guess I’ll start by introducing myself. I’m Kirklan Hawes the Founder and creator of XLTribe.com. This site was birthed from an old idea I had to create a community of like-minded guys that was tired of being miss represented and wanted to be displayed in the truest form. Changing the way Big & Tall Men are perceived is the goal for XLTribe.com.
