We back again peeps with another XL’s Featured Tribesmen Of The Week Tyree Whiston.
1. There are so many fashion brands available now, what do you still think is missing in menswear?
Hmm, fashion has come a LONG way haha but the one thing missing in menswear is inclusivity. The foundation is there but it’s not for every type of man. Fashion has always been geared towards a certain body type and being a man of size, it has been difficult to sometimes feel included in that movement.
2.What are some of your personal 2020 goals ?
Can we just skip over 2020 haha! Some of my personal goals for 2020 are to become more intune with myself, be direct in all of my relationships and grow my interior design business as peacefully as possible. I did want to travel more as well but we all know that’s almost impossible.
3. What are some of your favorite brands and why?
Oddly enough, I don’t really have favorite brands. I’m not really big into brands like that. I do love Brahmin though. It’s just something about crocodile embossing that I find hella attractive. When it comes to clothing, I wear what works. It could be from Target or Gucci (never Gucci, haha) but if it works for me, then I’ll wear it proudly.
4. How long have you been on the journey of being a Big & Tall man? What’s the biggest misconception you hear about Big & Tall Guys?
I’ve been a Big & Tall man pretty much all my life. I’m 6’4, 285lbs and it’s all solid. In my opinion, the biggest misconception you hear about Big & Tall guys is they dont present themselves well. How one carries themself has nothing to do with their size.
5. If you could swap styles with one celebrity who would it be and why?
Oh that’s easy- Dwyane Wade, hands down! His style is so transitional. I love it!
