Hey 2021 is here and we are back with out first feature of the years. XL’s Featured Tribesmen Of The Week Zach Petitt.
How did you cope with 2020?
I coped with 2020 by seriously investing my time in the things most important to me. I spent as much time as possible with my 2 daughters. I’ve begun building a brand for the podcast I co-host along with one of closest friends, The 2 Hour LunchBreak (@the2hourlunchbreak on Instagram). I also took up bike riding for exercise since all the local gyms were closed due to COVID-19 safety protocols.
What’s one misconception about Big & Tall Men that you hear often ? And what are you doing to change it ?
A big misconception I’ve come across with Big & Tall men is that we’re inactive and/or unhealthy. Your size or lack thereof isn’t an indicator of your health.I try to change that misconception by leading as active of a lifestyle as possible. I’m a life-long athlete, played football in college at Angelo State (Go Rams!) and bike ride daily all while chasing around a 3 and 4 year old at 285 pounds.
If your favorite Big & Tall brand gave you a million dollars what would you do with it ?
I ‘d probably spend the first $50 K and buy everything in my size from them, to be honest. Haha. All jokes aside, I’d pay off all my parent’s debts, set up college/trust funds for my daughters. Once they’re taken care of, I’d put the rest in my savings, try to invest in ways that can turn in passive income and go on an overseas vacation once the world finds a new normal.
What’s been your worst shopping experience ? And why ?
I can’t say that I’ve had a “bad experience” shopping but I will say that I have difficulty finding my size off the rack at any store. I can’t remember the last time I’ve walked into any big box store and could find what I needed without having to order something online or put in a special request.
What’s on your fashion bucket list ?
I really want to step my hat game up. I’ve always worn fitted hats, snapbacks, dad hats, etc. As I’m entering my early 30s, and really investing into my menswear looks I think my hats should match as well.
