XL’s Featured Tribes Men: Denzel Alexander

1. The biggest fashion obstacles for myself consist of finding the right fits for my body. Naturally, I lean toward a more slim and tailored look. Being in between XL and XXL, sometimes holds me back from those styles.

2. I’m a proud Memphian from Memphis,TN!!! I’d say the biggest trend in the city is blending certain styles for the gents of the 901. I’m starting to see the hipster guy blend prepster pieces, and the urban guy start to dapper up. It’s really cool because it shows how diverse and unique Memphis is!

3. Here we go! A while back, I had an interview at this really cool place (It had nothing to do with fashion). I chose to wear this black fedora, with a red and navy gingham button down. I paired it with a navy sports coat and denim joggers. BARF! I have no idea what I was thinking, and gladly I took no pictures. Even though they thought my attire was cool, I took major L’s that day.

4. My biggest style inspirations have a mix of people and things! The guys I’d like to dress like every single day are Harry Styles, Lucky Blue Smith, and Kanye West (before the Yeezy days). They all have that grungy rockstar looks that switches into dapper vibes as quick as they want. I really appreciate the versatility. Obviously, I’m a huge GQ fan as well; I’m always reading into their work!
