Stepping back in front of the camera for Newton’s First Athleisure photoshoot felt amazing. It felt like stepping into a new era of big and tall fashion. The energy was electric, the clothes were fresh, and the mission was clear: showcase the first athleisure brand crafted specifically for big and tall bodies. As someone who lives and breathes the XL lifestyle, capturing this moment through my lens wasn’t just a job—it was a statement.

Newton’s First is breaking barriers with their debut collection, and I had the honor of photographing the new collection.  It is clear that their not just another brand dipping its toes into extended sizing. This was a brand built for us, by people who understand the struggle of finding clothes that move with your body and make you feel powerful. Representation isn’t just about visibility; it’s about shifting narratives and showing that style and size are not mutually exclusive.

Take, for example, this shot: Me a big and tall man confidently standing against an urban backdrop, rocking neutral tones that balance sophistication with everyday ease. I’m wearing the Parker Pullover in a light gray hue, which drapes perfectly to highlight comfort without clinging. Paired with the sleek Beckham Pant in a classic olive tone, the outfit is effortlessly polished yet relaxed—a true testament to the versatility of Newton’s First pieces.

Throughout my shoot, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own journey with fashion. For years, options were limited, and shopping felt more like a chore than a form of self-expression.
