Introducing Good Counsel
As many of my loyal readers know I spend all my time scouring the web and social media for new brands that are built with us in mind. Good Counsel is the self-proclaimed “first luxury, size-inclusive menswear community.” This brand was recently introduced to me by way of Instagram. My first impression when I saw this WOW.
A luxury brand for us it was shocking in a good way. I was just asking myself when is someone gonna come along and give us a high-end option and it literally fell in my lap. After going through the site I decided I had to write about and Introduce you’ll to about Good Counsel. The company’s mission really spoke to me as well:
Good Counsel seeks to create a Community that embraces men of a larger size—empowering them to live well, dress well—and to do so with purpose. We create conversations around the best in menswear and are committed to presenting compelling stories and experiences that affirm our men like never before.
These clothes look so well made almost tailored on the model. Miguel Perdomo stands at 6″3 and wearing size 38″ jeans and an XXL shirt.
“A go-to pair of denim is a foundational piece of your wardrobe. Featuring a slim, tapered fit John Elliott’s Cast 2 in its ‘Spring’ wash is a Japanese dry process jean. All abrasions, whiskering, and fold patterns are created or applied by hand—ensuring that each pair stands alone in its uniqueness as a one of one piece.”
A white dress shirt offers unmatched versatility to your wardrobe. Ports 1961 presents dress shirts by the number. Here, #3, is a classic spread-collar shirt cut from a crisp, cotton poplin feature a symmetrical button closure at the neck and half-placket. Mother of pearl button finishes, single-button angle cut cuffs.
These looks are definitely on my wishlist of things to get myself for my birthday in 3 months….

Hola Mi Tribesmen I guess I’ll start by introducing myself. I’m Kirklan Hawes the Founder and creator of XLTribe.com. This site was birthed from an old idea I had to create a community of like-minded guys that was tired of being miss represent and wanted to be displayed in the truest form. Changing the way Big & Tall Men are perceived is the goal for XLTribe.com.
