XL’s Featured Tribe Men Of The Week Victor Ozieh
1.What are your biggest fashion obstacles?
One of my biggest obstacles fashion wise is finding clothes that fit well. It seems like the majority of clothing is not made for large men. I’m 6’7 330lbs and built pretty athletically (broad shoulders, narrow waist) meaning my waist isn’t typical for the way pants are sized. To me, it seems most Big & Tall selections assume you’re either short & wide or tall & skinny. So, finding pants that don’t fit like Steve Harvey’s suits can be a challenge
2.Where are you from and what are biggest fashion trends in your city?
I’m from Nigeria and I live in Atlanta Ga. Honestly, I’m not overly cognizant of fashion trends. I am glad that we seem to be moving away from baggy clothing and oversized white tees toward more fitted clothing though.
3.Tell us about your biggest fashion nightmare and if it came true do explain. (attach a picture if you can)
High school prom I rented a tux and it was MASSIVE. Looking back at it I’m just like “Why did I do that to myself? Smh.”
4.What are some of your biggest style inspirations?
I really like the suave, sophisticated, types of style like James Bond, Idris Elba, & Neal Caffrey. Their outfits are always very deliberate, well-fitting, cool & cohesive. Whether they be casual or dressed to the 9’s. You see them and think “Mama that’s one bad man.” Just by the way they dress you can tell that they’re the type of men that get shit done. Now that I’m starting to venture into menswear & custom clothing I try to emulate some of their styles.
5.Where do you see yourself in five years and how do you see yourself accomplishing it?
Ideally having just started/about to start my own business & a family. Not quite sure about how to go about accomplishing the wife part but hopefully I stumble across her while I’m working on the business part. As of now, I’m just trying to gain the necessary business skills/experience to put me in the best position to venture out on my own.
6.What do you feel is missing in fashion for the men of size?
I feel like fashion now is geared toward the average sized individual with people of size being an afterthought. Good fitting clothes aren’t readily available. I can’t just walk into any store and know that I’ll find something that will fit me well & to me, that’s an issue.

Woah I had not thought of exactly how limiting, style wise, possessing a massively unique frame could be. Even if addressed, the wide spectrum is practically case by case. Thus hindering XL Men from dressing well, affordably.
