1. What are some of your biggest fashion obstacles?
One of my biggest fashion obstacles , and I cannot stress this enough, I’m sure anyone who’s stockier can relate, and it is finding clothes that not only fit but that you actually like ! So many clothes that are provided in the “bigger” sizes just aren’t cute. Big boys want to look fresh too !
2. Where are you from and how you describe your style?
Originally from Jersey, but I was raised in Houston, TX, and Houston is all I know. I would say my style is very eclectic, I like adding an extra element to whatever I wear. Or just seeing the beauty in something that no one else would.
3. Tell us about your biggest fashion nightmare and if it came true do explain.
I had just started to explore my personal style. Tumblr was pretty lit around this time , and I kept seeing men wearing these dope ass pleated skirts. Ended up finding one … 3 sizes to small and still wore it , I pinned it , and thought I was killing the game. I look back and the two things I do is cringe and laugh !
4.What are your 2019 goals?
I’ve definitely told my self I needed to get more of my fashion styling work out there which I’m accomplishing. I promised my self to have at least 2 projects a month and so far I’ve kept up.
5.Where do you see yourself in five years and how do you see yourself accomplishing it?
In 5 years I will see myself in a home , own by me! I would also like to see myself in a healthier path both physically and mentally. The only way I see myself accomplishing this is to continue hustling my little heart out.
6.How long have you been on the journey of being a Big & Tall man? What’s the biggest misconception you hear about Big & Tall Guys?
I’ve always been into fashion! Probably started when I was 12 maybe 13. Learning about designers and getting lost in internet for hours just YouTubing fashion shows. It would be a get away from the bullying i would go through as a middle schooler. But I didn’t start exploring my own personal style until I was 19. Went though so many stages and aesthetics I can’t even keep count. I mean I still like to switch it up , I just know what works for my body and what doesn’t. The biggest misconception is things I actually hear from my own peers, I hate hearing “if I was skinny I would be rocking so many things ” . I don’t like hearing that , your body is gorgeous no matter what and you can rock whatever you want , no matter your size!
7.If you could swap styles with one celebrity who would it be and why?
Could it be someone who’s dead? I mean Jimmy Hendrix is an icon in the music industry but have you ever paid attention to what he wore on stage ? Man every piece he wore from head to toe was a scene stealer. Not only is the 70’s such an interesting era but the fashion was real!
