The Big & Tall Men really showed up and showed out This year at NYFW. This years NYFW take over was made possible by Johnny Bigg & National Curves Day.
Size inclusivity definitely made some progress during New York Fashion Week. The Big & Tall community represented by National Curves Day, Inc., actively took matters into their own hands by launching “The Bigger Picture, A Plus-size Male Campaign” accompanied by a flash mob fashion segment sponsored by Johnny Bigg.
The Co-Founders spearheading this transformational movement are Big & Tall International Model and Influencer, Cameron “Big Cam” Boyland, Big & Tall Model and Voice Actor, Brandon Madden, Big & Tall Style Expert, and Creative Director, Steven Green, and Big & Tall Fashion Model, Soouizz Okeke. Sharing the common bond of modeling for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty plus-size men’s lingerie, these gentlemen came together with a shared objective. They wanted more
opportunities that represented them for more than commercial value, while letting the world know that men of all backgrounds above
sample size are ready to wear luxury clothes. The lack of diversity and inclusion for Big & Tall on the runway during fashion week has been a pain point for many years after being treated as a minority within the industry when in reality; they represent the majority with over 70% of the United States population considered “Plus Size.”
